The concept of the scenic design for this play was based on breaking the theatre rules by placing the audience inside the performing space itself, inhabited by the characters of the play. Hence the set was a giant cage combining a seating area for the audience, visible backstage cages for the performers, a central performing area, and a surrounding walkway from where everything could be supervised by the actors. A system of rails under the walkway enabled the stage to be modified instantly from a white room to a red room to a peep show. Selected at the Theaterfestival (B, NL)
