statement
Permanent exhibition of the Battle of Waterloo’s Memorial in Belgium for the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the famous battle. The exhibition covers 1 800 sqm in two underground levels located next to the Lion’s Mound. The first part of the exhibition leads the visitor from the French Revolution, through Napoleon’s rise, until the battle itself, presented in a 4D film projected on a 180° screen, directed by Academy-Award winner Gérard Corbiau. The second part covers the aftermath of the battle and its geopolitical consequences.
The exhibition is a suite of breathtaking scenic installations and an impressive costume gallery, enhanced by interactive technologies, such as augmented reality, animated paintings, touchscreens, video mapping, transparent screens and multi-lingual audio-guides.
